John B. Luke, III, MD, RPVI
A Louisiana native, Dr. Jay Luke grew up in the city of Lecompte. He completed his undergraduate education in Microbiology at LSU, and he then earned his medical degree from LSU School of Medicine. Dr. Luke pursued further training in General Surgery at Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans. At the conclusion of his general surgical residency, Dr. Luke moved to Birmingham, AL, and completed his fellowship to specialize in Vascular Surgery at the prestigious University of Alabama at Birmingham. While in fellowship, Dr. Luke had extensive training in the latest and most advanced techniques in the treatment of complex venous disease. Dr. Luke also has an interest in all aspects of vascular surgery, including aneurysms, carotid disease, peripheral arterial disease, and hemodialysis access.
Dr. Luke is a member of the Gulf Coast Vascular Society, the Lafayette Parish Medical Society, and a candidate member of the Society of Vascular Surgery along with the Vascular and Endovascular Surgical Society. He is also board certified in both General Surgery and Vascular Surgery.
Dr. Luke lives in Lafayette with his wife, Dr. Lauren Fletcher Luke, and their daughter, Chloe.
