Christopher LaGraize, MD, RVT, FACS
Dr. Christopher LaGraize was born and raised in New Orleans Louisiana. After receiving his undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 1990, he attended Louisiana State University Medical School, where he received his medical degree in 1995. Dr. La Graize completed his surgical internship at the University of Colorado Health Science Center and his General Surgery residency at St. Barnabas Health System in New Jersey in 2000. Dr. LaGraize’s education continued at the North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System in New York, where he completed his Vascular Surgery fellowship in 2002. Since then, he has been a practicing vascular surgeon in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Dr. LaGraize is a fellow of the American College of Surgery and a member of the Society of Vascular Surgery, the Gulf Coast Vascular Society, the Louisiana State Medical Society, and the Lafayette Parish Medical Society.
Dr. La Graize has extensive experience in the treatment of a wide variety of vascular conditions, including carotid artery disease, abdominal aortic aneurysms, and peripheral arterial disease. As southwest Louisiana’s best-trained and most experienced physician in varicose vein treatment, Dr. LaGraize specializes in vein disorders and varicose veins. In fellowship, his program was one of the first in the country to use the Venous Closure technique. Dr. LaGraize brings his experience in minimally invasive vein surgery, microphlebectomy, endovenous laser ablation and ClosureFast™ Procedure to Vein Center of Louisiana. Recently, Dr. LaGraize was first in Louisiana to offer the VenaSeal™ procedure to his patients.
Dr. LaGraize and his wife, Lafayette native, Dr. Tami Tauzin LaGraize, have three children.
